How to play

Drag anywhere on the screen to swim; lift your thumb to stop. Your glows fire by themselves. Hunters drop glowing motes; swim near them to collect experience. Each level up pauses the dive and offers three cards: a new glow, a new trait, or an upgrade. Reach 0 m (ten minutes) to surface.

Evolutions. A glow at level 8 whose partner trait is at level 5 evolves on your next level up. The How to play screen lists every pair.
Pearls. Drop from hunters and bosses. Spend them on the Reef (permanent upgrades) and on new creatures.
Depth tiers. Surfacing unlocks the next tier: harder hunters, more pearls.
Daily Dive. One seeded dive a day, the same for everyone, with a modifier. The first finish of the day pays bonus pearls.

Common questions

I keep sinking in the Twilight zone.

Keep moving in wide circles rather than straight lines, pick up motes as you pass, and favor one or two glows early so they reach level 8. Reef upgrades (Vitality, Might, Tempo) make every later dive easier. Second Wind at the Reef gives one revive per dive.

Can I pause?

Yes: the pause button at the top of the screen. The dive also pauses by itself when you leave the app or get a call.

How do I earn pearls without paying?

Every dive pays pearls; bosses, surfacing, awards, the daily chest and the Daily Dive pay more. Buying pearls only saves time; nothing in the game is locked behind a purchase.

What is in the Tidal Bundle?

Every creature unlocked at once, 2,000 pearls, and no interstitial ads if a future version ever adds them. It is a one time purchase.

My purchase did not show up.

Open the Shop or Settings and tap Restore purchases while online. If it still does not appear, email us with the date of the purchase (iOS Settings › your name › Media & Purchases › View Account › Purchase History).

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Can I move my progress to a new iPhone?

Progress is saved on the device for now, so it does not transfer. Purchases do: tap Restore purchases on the new iPhone.

The game feels slow or hot on my phone.

Turn on Reduce effects in Settings. It removes most particles and the screen shake.

Accessibility

Settings offers a left handed layout, a larger joystick, Reduce effects and damage numbers on or off. VoiceOver reads every menu, and the dive respects Reduce Motion for its menu animations.
